Cedar-clad dormer window set into a slate roof General Joinery A really good week getting these jobs finished — a new dormer and four windows. Timber garden decking with slatted privacy screening General Joinery Venetian fencing and decking finished! Original fencing and decking had started to rot. Primed under-stairs storage unit built around an awkward angled ceiling General Joinery An understairs unit finished last week — dodging pipes and some dodgy angles along the way. Panelled dining nook with built-in bench seating in a converted pub General Joinery Love the look of this living space — shaker shutters and a built-in bench seat. Alcove cabinet and bookshelf sprayed in green smoke by Farrow and Ball Cabinetry Really happy with these alcoves — sprayed in 'green smoke' by Farrow and Ball. Fireplace surround with a curved fluted frame and marble hearth General Joinery Love the look of the curved fluted frame and how it ties in with the room. Vertical acoustic wall panelling in an attic bedroom General Joinery Replacing the old skirting and door with acoustic panelling has really modernised this bedroom. Large timber garden decking with dining table, sofa and planter General Joinery A completed 6m x 4.5m decking, ready for summer — the steps and planter finish it off nicely. Grey sliding wardrobe doors either side of a wall-mounted TV Wardrobes A sliding wardrobe finished this week — sprayed in French grey, recessed doors on HAFELE planofit bars. Fluted panelled wall with a hidden sliding door General Joinery A completed fluted panelled wall with a hidden sliding door — tough to get right, worth it. White sliding wardrobe doors beside a freshly carpeted bedroom Wardrobes Carpet refitted to finally finish this sliding wardrobe — custom doors built on IKEA carcasses. Narrow media unit sprayed in onyx black with a wall-mounted TV Media Units A narrow media unit built to maximise space, sprayed in Onyx Black. LED-lit loft dressing room with floating drawers and a full-length mirror Cabinetry Push to open drawers and a secret mirror — with LED lighting throughout.

A custom gate built to replace this old rotten one. Sprayed using Zinsser all coat and the colour is farrow and ball stone blue to match the front door! Really enjoy jobs like this that make a huge difference to people's houses.

A composite decking finished this week! To help ensure the frame stands the test of time, I've bitumen the fence posts and tops of the frame to provide added protection against the elements, whilst also resealing any cut edges. It's the details you don't really see that make the difference. Built and protected with care to make it last that bit longer.
